About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for general maintenance of the Campbellsville campus and maintaining a safe, healthy and economical food service operation at the campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Accountability and ownership of assigned projects to achieve project goals including managing scope, timeline, budget and resources
- Tracks maintenance project status and milestone targets to ensure deadlines are met or corrective action is taken to adhere to maintenance deadlines
- Evaluates work needs based on daily maintenance requests, preventative maintenance schedules and other facility related issues in consultation with Operations Manager
- Oversees equipment and building systems maintenance including kitchen, laundry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, geothermal and boilers, Persona Key, and other operational systems
- Coordinates ordering of replacement parts and equipment and related services based on cost-effectiveness and other efficiencies
- Supervises grounds maintenance work and schedules pertaining to lawn, garden, parking lots, and snow removal
- Coordinates, implements, and/or supervises construction and remodeling projects and works with clients, outside vendors and volunteers as applicable
- Responds to emergencies on a 24-hour on-call basis for the purpose of determining and implementing appropriate actions to resolve situations as they happen
- Oversees routine inspections of safety systems to include smoke detectors, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems to comply with local and state codes. Maintains inspection documentation with outside vendors.
- Conducts monthly fire drills
- Opens and closes Trudge Center each day at 10:00am and 1:00pm. Maintains building, cleanliness and supplies.
- Chairs regular meetings of maintenance staff and clients on property to updates policies and procedures and to provide training as needed
- Works with kitchen stock staff to maintain order in food storage areas
- Collaborates with dining room staff to track monthly meal counts
- Collaborates with and educates peer mentors to maintain compliance with outside monitoring agencies for the kitchen (e.g., Health Department, Dare to Care, etc.)
- Works with client kitchen staff and peer mentors by monitoring cleaning standards and safe food handling procedures
- Attends and assists in weekly kitchen staff meetings and conducts training as needed
- Maintains a log of donations to be given to the Operations Manager monthly
- Facilitates the acceptance, storage, and timely usage of donated foods
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license
- Superior organization and time management skills with an attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to navigate stairs and spend the majority of the work day on your feet (walking, standing)
- Regular exposure to office environment and outdoor conditions
- Ability to occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
