We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Electrode Equipment Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a team of electricians to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems within a large-scale industrial battery manufacturing facility.
- Assign work orders, prioritize maintenance tasks, and support troubleshooting activities.
- Support training and development of electricians to strengthen technical capability.
- Provide technical expertise in industrial electrical systems including motor control, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure electrical work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and company standards while supporting production uptime and facility reliability.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure electrical work orders are executed efficiently and documented in the CMMS system.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and external contractors during project execution.
- Maintain safe work practices including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Support electrical safety programs.
- Ensure electrical documentation, drawings, and labeling are maintained and updated.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance practices.
- Support facility improvement projects and capital initiatives.
- Participate in root cause investigations and reliability improvement efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Licensed Electrician.
- 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in manufacturing or high-reliability industrial facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certifications in industrial electrical systems, automation, motor controls, or VFD systems are considered an asset.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with industrial automation and manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
- Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Industrial motor systems
- PLC-controlled equipment
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Electrical drawings and schematics
- Preventive maintenance practices
- CMMS systems for maintenance management
