Requirements:
  • 3–4+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • College degree in Business or Human Resources preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines.

In this role, you will

  • Assists leading and oversee the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Supports payroll staff by providing guidance on payroll procedures, policies, and system processes.
  • Manage the final termination process and final pay.
  • Assist in preparing payroll-related journal entries and provide payroll data to the accounting team for financial reporting.
  • Audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits.
  • Respond to complex payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies with professionalism and discretion.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders, including accounting and executive leadership.
  • Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of Payroll/HR files and documentation.
  • Assists maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements, helping streamline workflows and increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the administration of wage garnishments, income withholding orders, and other required deductions.
  • Assists develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the payroll function and organizational goals.
