- 3–4+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- College degree in Business or Human Resources preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines.
In this role, you will
- Assists leading and oversee the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Supports payroll staff by providing guidance on payroll procedures, policies, and system processes.
- Manage the final termination process and final pay.
- Assist in preparing payroll-related journal entries and provide payroll data to the accounting team for financial reporting.
- Audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Support internal and external payroll audits.
- Respond to complex payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies with professionalism and discretion.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal stakeholders, including accounting and executive leadership.
- Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of Payroll/HR files and documentation.
- Assists maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
- Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements, helping streamline workflows and increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the administration of wage garnishments, income withholding orders, and other required deductions.
- Assists develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the payroll function and organizational goals.
