DESCRIPTION: Director of Outdoor Pursuits is responsible for leading and overseeing all recreational programming and amenities at Snake River Sporting Club. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a broad spectrum of recreational activities and services that will enrich the member and guest experience, drive revenue, and support the club’s overall mission and standards.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Provide strategic direction and daily oversight of recreation programs including archery, skeet shooting, flyfishing, kid’s camp, junior activities, cross-country skiing, heliskiing, and other leisure offerings.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate recreation staff to ensure high standards of service, safety, and professionalism.
- Develop and manage the Outdoor Pursuits department’s budget, including forecasting, payroll, and driving revenue.
- Program Development & Execution:
- Design and implement innovative programs for members of all ages and interests, aligned with seasonal demand and club standards.
- Coordinate special events, tournaments, camps, and family-friendly activities.
- Evaluate program participation, member feedback, and industry trends to continuously improve offerings.
- Member Engagement:
- Build strong relationships with members to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations.
- Collaborate with the Membership, Food & Beverage, Golf, and Marketing teams to promote and support club-wide initiatives.
- Serve as a visible presence at events and key activities to ensure smooth operations and member satisfaction.
- Facility Oversight:
- Ensure the recreation facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment repair and upgrades.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and risk management procedures.
