About This Position

SemiGen has an opening for a Facilities Technician. Working on a small high functioning team, this role will have the opportunity to impact the customer satisfaction by meeting demands and paying attention to details for incoming and outgoing materials and products.

As part of the facilities, the Facilities Technician will work with the team to support the overall maintenance of the facility and its premises. Duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, equipment maintenance and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Our ideal candidate will be a jack/jill-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment repair, and basic tools and appliances. To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
As a Facilities Technician you would be excepted to:
- Light maintenance and minor construction duties such as painting, fixing small repairs, patching holes, changing light bulbs and similar duties.
- Ensure operations and processing equipment is in good working condition by performing scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks. Training will be provided.
- Updating the Maintenance database after tasks have been performed.
- Performing daily building walks to complete checklists. Training will be provided.
- Handling chemicals and Hazardous Waste throughout the facility as needed. Training will be provided.
- Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, Light snow removal and salting of employee traffic areas.
We are looking for someone who has:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation.
- Able to follow detailed instructions.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with facilities type equipment preferred. I.E. Compressors, Vacuum systems, water filters.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly.
- Familiar with the use of basic hand tools.
- Must be able to accurately record data related to tasks performed.
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with Microsoft office
