About This Position
Job Description
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for conducting daily inventory transactions to ensure timely and accurate perpetual inventory in NetSuite. The Inventory Clerk works closely with Purchasing, Finance, and Operations to provide accurate data to assist with daily business decisions. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy across multiple locations and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Update inventory records in the system (quantities, locations, item details)
- Initiate cycle count process and make system adjustments as appropriate
- Transfer inventory between locations within the system
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate item master data, including units of measure and location assignments
- Assist with receiving inventory and verifying quantities against purchase orders
- Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions
- Communicate inventory issues to Purchasing, Finance, and Operations teams
- Support process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas and ensure proper labeling
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including preparing and filing documents
- Coordinate communications between departments
- Maintain inventory logs and spreadsheets
- Put away deliveries and organize incoming inventory
- Assist with purchase order processing
- Provide general clerical support to Purchasing, Finance, and Operations
