This strategic leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing integrated US market access strategies for oncology products across both launch and in-line portfolios. The position plays a critical role in ensuring optimal patient access, sustainable pricing strategies, and long-term product value within a highly complex and evolving healthcare landscape. You will act as a central connector across Market Access, Brand, Pricing, Commercial, and Global Product teams, ensuring alignment of strategy and execution across all stakeholders. This role requires deep expertise in US payer dynamics, health economics, and pharmaceutical commercialization, combined with strong cross-functional leadership. You will also be responsible for developing multi-year access strategies, guiding forecasting and budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance across all market access initiatives. This is a high-impact role influencing enterprise-wide decisions for key oncology assets with significant visibility at senior leadership level.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated 3–5 year US market access strategies for oncology products across launch and in-line brands.
- Serve as the primary strategic point of contact for US and Global product teams, ensuring alignment across Market Access, Brand, and Commercial organizations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Pricing, Contracting, Patient Support, and Finance to ensure cohesive and executable access strategies.
- Oversee the design and execution of market research, including qualitative and quantitative studies to inform access strategy and commercialization decisions.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and budget alignment in collaboration with pricing, contracting, and account management teams.
- Drive execution of market access plans across internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration with marketing and customer engagement teams.
- Engage with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure all initiatives meet internal and external governance requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, including RFP processes and contract execution in alignment with compliance standards.
- Monitor portfolio-level performance and communicate risks, opportunities, and strategic updates to senior leadership.
- Contribute to organizational capability building by developing talent and fostering a high-performance market access culture.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Health Policy, or related advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, with a focus on market access, managed care, pricing, or commercial strategy.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare systems, payer dynamics, and pharmaceutical value frameworks.
- Proven experience developing and executing market access or brand commercialization strategies in a complex matrix organization.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working across brand, marketing, pricing, and customer engagement functions.
- Strong knowledge of health economics, HTA, reimbursement, and access strategy principles.
- Ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $194,600 to $361,400 USD.
