About This Position
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Personal Trainer to provide on-site services at our 5-star Corporate Wellness Studio in Downtown San Francisco. This role works closely with the General Manager and the entire Cove team. They are responsible for delivering a high-quality, hospitality-driven fitness experience while building and growing the personal training program within the facility.
The ideal person has flexible working hours, a passion for what they do and is interested in growing our PT program and build their own client base.
Compensation Structure:
Relationship Building & Member Experience
We are seeking an experienced Personal Trainer to provide on-site services at our 5-star Corporate Wellness Studio in Downtown San Francisco. This role works closely with the General Manager and the entire Cove team. They are responsible for delivering a high-quality, hospitality-driven fitness experience while building and growing the personal training program within the facility.
The ideal person has flexible working hours, a passion for what they do and is interested in growing our PT program and build their own client base.
- Floor Supervision hours - $35-$40 (4 hours per week) - Wednesdays 3 pm - 7 pm
- Personal Training Commissions - $35 - $50 per hour
- Group fitness Classes - $65 per hour
Compensation Structure:
- Personal training commission applies for sessions conducted on and off shift
- Trainers are expected to build and manage their own client base
- Opportunity to schedule personal training sessions outside of the weekly floor shift
- Opportunity to teach group fitness classes outside of the required floor shift (based on site needs and manager approval)
Relationship Building & Member Experience
- Be present and approachable on the fitness floor while actively engaging with members during each shift
- Learn members’ names, goals, and routines to create a personalized experience
- Create a welcoming, supportive environment that keeps members coming back
- Identify opportunities to introduce members to personal training and programs
- Conduct new member fitness consultations
- Build and maintain your own book of personal training clients
- Convert floor interactions and consultations into ongoing training relationships
- Deliver thoughtful, individualized sessions that retain clients long-term
- Contribute to the overall growth of the site’s personal training program
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked fitness center
- Assist with member check-ins, account support, give new member tours, and general front desk needs
- Support overall facility standards and take pride in the space
- Assist with group fitness classes and wellness programming as needed
- Support site events, activations, and initiatives
- Collaborate with the management team and contribute to a positive team environment
- Complete all required reporting, including accurate payroll and session tracking
- Required Floor Shift: Wednesdays, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Additional floor coverage and event support as needed

- Maximum of 29 total hours per week
- Consistently engaging members and being visible on the floor
- Building a growing and retained book of personal training clients
- Taking ownership of the facility’s appearance and operations
- Being proactive, solving problems without waiting to be asked
- Contributing to a strong, positive, team-first culture
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance in line with company standards.
- Current Personal Training Certification
- CPR/AED Certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
