Technical Assistant at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates an understanding of all procedures performed, a thorough understanding of all work processes and safety issues in specific assigned area, and possesses excellent customer service initiatives. Recognizes patient's physical limitation and provides appropriate support to assure patient's safety. Helps to expedite patient's procedures by assisting the radiology technologist in any area of the radiology department. Promotes the University Health’s Guest Relations Program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Enrollment in a Radiology Technologist program with at least one semesters of clinical coursework completed OR completion of a recognized nursing attendant/aide program OR six months experience as a nursing attendant, patient transporter or other related health care experience may be a substitute. Experience in a radiology working environment is preferred, with knowledge of safety issues.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.
