This role offers the opportunity to lead and execute health economic and outcomes research modeling projects that directly influence the value demonstration and market access strategies for innovative therapies. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across modeling, pricing, and evidence strategy, applying both technical expertise and pragmatic problem-solving skills. You will drive the development of cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and early-value models while supporting project management, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to methodological innovation. The position emphasizes the application of Excel/VBA and R-based tools, as well as emerging AI techniques, to produce high-quality, reproducible, and HTA-ready outputs. - Lead the development, adaptation, and quality control of economic models, including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-consequence, and early value frameworks.
- Develop model analysis plans, conceptual frameworks, parameter selection, and technical documentation.
- Apply Excel/VBA extensively, leveraging R and R-Shiny where appropriate to enhance automation, reproducibility, and interactive capabilities.
- Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring on-time delivery, risk mitigation, and high-quality outputs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, supporting professional growth and adherence to internal quality standards.
- Support business development activities by identifying follow-on opportunities, drafting proposals, and contributing to capability presentations.
- Drive innovation in modeling workflows, including AI-enabled solutions, and collaborate with global teams to standardize best practices.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in health economics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, economics, or related field (PhD preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in HEOR economic modeling or a similar consulting environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA for model development; practical experience with R and R-Shiny is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance methodological rigor with pragmatic real-world applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, mentor staff, and collaborate effectively in cross-functional, multi-regional teams.
- Interest or experience in applying AI to modeling or evidence generation workflows is advantageous.
