This role plays a key part in ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care by coordinating staffing, scheduling, and communication across clinical teams and referral sources. You will act as a central point of coordination, collecting and validating information, supporting insurance verification and authorization processes, and ensuring smooth operational flow between departments. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment where accuracy and responsiveness directly impact patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and help support overall service quality and efficiency. This is a highly collaborative role where communication, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential to success.
In this role, you will ensure efficient staffing coordination and support the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective scheduling and communication:
- Coordinate daily scheduling and staffing assignments for clinical teams in alignment with physician orders, regulations, and organizational standards.
- Communicate patient needs clearly and accurately across healthcare teams, ensuring timely and effective coordination of care.
- Collect, verify, and enter referral and patient information into systems while supporting insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Maintain knowledge of agency services, capacity, referral relationships, and operational workflows to support service delivery and growth.
- Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Support problem-solving and decision-making by identifying issues, recommending solutions, and following up on outstanding matters.
- Ensure confidentiality of protected health information and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Document and escalate grievances, complaints, or concerns related to patient care or service delivery as required.
This position requires strong organizational ability, healthcare experience, and effective communication skills in a structured, service-oriented environment:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of healthcare-related experience in an administrative, coordination, or support role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical teams, patients, and external partners.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, scheduling, and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare scheduling systems is preferred.
- Previous home health operations experience and/or LPN licensure is a plus.
- Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Hourly pay range: $19.29 – $27.45 (based on experience)
