This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Head of Sales - Founding Team in Germany.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of building and scaling a commercial function from the ground up in a new European market. You will be responsible for launching, structuring, and growing the sales organization in Germany, turning early market entry into a predictable and scalable revenue engine. The role combines hands-on selling with strategic leadership, requiring you to personally drive initial deals while laying the foundations for future team expansion. You will define go-to-market execution, shape sales processes, and directly influence how the product is positioned in a highly competitive and regulated market. Operating in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment, you will collaborate closely with international teams across marketing, product, and operations. This is a builder role for a senior sales leader who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating structure from scratch, and is motivated by high-impact, entrepreneurial challenges.
- Build and lead the sales strategy for the German market, translating go-to-market plans into measurable revenue growth.
- Own the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, pipeline generation, demos, negotiation, and closing early customers.
- Design and implement scalable sales processes, tools, and playbooks adapted to the local market.
- Establish and grow a high-performing sales team, including hiring, onboarding, and coaching early team members.
- Develop and manage predictable revenue forecasting, performance tracking, and KPI frameworks.
- Act as the voice of the German market internally, feeding insights into product, marketing, and overall GTM strategy.
- Drive initial customer acquisition and convert early traction into a scalable and repeatable sales engine.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success to refine positioning and improve conversion.
- Continuously optimize sales execution through data, experimentation, and market feedback.
- Proven experience in building and scaling B2B or SaaS sales organizations in growth or early-stage environments.
- Strong track record of delivering consistent revenue growth and independently closing complex deals.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams (inside and/or field sales).
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environments with strong ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
- Fluency in German and English (mandatory).
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and direct selling.
- Comfortable building processes and structure from scratch while actively contributing to execution.
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, benefits, or HR tech environments is a plus.
- Competitive OTE package between €150,000–€180,000 plus stock options.
