About the Role:
The Director of Information Technology is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire IT function within the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive IT strategies that drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and support scalable growth. The Director will lead cross-functional teams to manage infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, and IT support services, ensuring high availability and security of all technology systems. They will collaborate closely with executive leadership to identify technology trends and opportunities that can provide competitive advantages. Ultimately, the Director of IT will be accountable for delivering reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that empower the organization to achieve its mission and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in IT management or leadership roles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and managing large-scale IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, cloud computing, and enterprise software solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, or CISM.
- Experience with digital transformation and change management initiatives.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Experience working in a multi-site or global IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's overall business plan and strategic direction.
- Lead, mentor, and manage IT teams across various disciplines including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations to maximize value and control costs.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes and customer experiences.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that support organizational goals.
- Monitor emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization’s IT landscape.
