Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a AI Automation Engineer (RPA & Agent Development) in United States.
This role sits at the intersection of automation engineering, cloud architecture, and applied AI, focusing on transforming traditional RPA systems into modern, intelligent agent-based solutions. You will design and build scalable AI-driven workflows that leverage LLMs, orchestration frameworks, and AWS-native services. The work directly impacts enterprise efficiency by replacing static automation with adaptive, reasoning agents. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to identify high-value automation opportunities. This is a hands-on, highly technical role in a fast-evolving environment where innovation and experimentation are encouraged. The ideal candidate thrives in building production-grade systems that combine AI, cloud infrastructure, and workflow orchestration.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the evolution of automation systems from legacy RPA to intelligent, agent-based architectures while ensuring scalability, reliability, and business alignment.
- Lead the migration of existing RPA workflows into modern AI-driven agent frameworks, redesigning processes for flexibility and intelligence.
- Design, build, and deploy AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph, Strands, or similar orchestration tools.
- Develop and maintain agentic workflows on AWS using services like Lambda, Bedrock, Step Functions, S3, and API Gateway.
- Orchestrate multi-step workflows with memory, tool usage, state management, and external system integrations.
- Integrate automation solutions with enterprise platforms such as CRM, ERP, ATS, and internal APIs and databases.
- Improve performance, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency of automation pipelines through continuous optimization.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact automation opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in automation and cloud engineering, combined with hands-on experience in AI/LLM systems and a product-minded approach to problem solving.
- 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, or related technical roles.
- Strong background in RPA platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Bedrock, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, and IAM.
- Proven experience building or contributing to LLM-powered agents or AI-driven systems.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, Strands, or similar tools.
- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of APIs, event-driven architecture, and workflow orchestration patterns.
- Familiarity with enterprise system integration and secure deployment practices is highly valued.
- Experience transitioning from traditional RPA to AI/agent-based automation is a strong plus.
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and market standards
- Fully remote work model (United States-based)
- Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI and agent-based automation systems
- Exposure to modern cloud-native architecture on AWS
- Collaborative and innovation-driven work environment
- Strong ownership of projects with high business impact
- Professional growth in AI, automation, and distributed systems
