We operate a full-service garage that services Drive Sally’s fleet vehicles and also supports retail customers. Role Overview
The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing Sally vehicles to ensure they are safe, reliable, and ready for customer use.
This role plays a critical part in keeping vehicles operational, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across the fleet. The Automotive Technician works collaboratively with Fleet Leads and Shop Managers to execute maintenance workflows efficiently and accurately.

Success in this role looks like accurate diagnostics, fast and high-quality repairs, low repeat repair rates, and vehicles consistently meeting safety and launch readiness standards.

Repair cycle time
Repeat repair rate
Inspection pass rate
Vehicle uptime contribution
Quality control pass rate
Preventative maintenance completion rate
What you’ll do
Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and systems (including OBD II and CAN).
Conduct intake assessments and document customer-reported vehicle concerns accurately.
Complete repair orders thoroughly and accurately within required timeframes.
Support preventative maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and long-term fleet issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Follow system standards and visual management processes consistently.
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of other technicians to upskill the team.
Collaborate with Shop Managers to improve workflow efficiency.
Clean and detail vehicles as needed to support launch readiness.
Requirements
Tier 1 ($20 - $26)
Within 6 months of being hired you must obtain the following ASE’s
Auto Maintenance and Light Repair (G1)
A1 – Engine Repair
A5 – Brakes
Tier 2 ($27 - $33)
Must obtain any 3 of the remaining 6 A series ASE’s
A2, A3, A4, A6, A7, A8
Tier 3 ($34 - $40)
Must obtain the remaining 3 A series ASE’s
Once G1, A series 1-8 are obtained and have over 7 years of automotive experience, you now have the opportunity to advance to Master Automotive Mechanic
What we look for
3+ years of hands-on automotive service, maintenance, and repair experience.
Professional experience with new vehicle dealer services preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials.
Skilled in mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
Basic level of computer proficiency.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
Ability to pass drug and background checks.
OEM and/or ASE certifications preferred.
Toyota and Kia experience preferred.
