Lead Visual Designer at Jobgether – India

This role offers the opportunity to shape the visual direction of complex digital products within multidisciplinary, agile teams working at the intersection of design, technology, and business. You will lead end-to-end visual design strategy, ensuring that solutions are not only visually compelling but also accessible, consistent, and aligned with user needs and organizational goals. Operating in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate ideas into scalable design systems and polished user interfaces. The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong design leadership, systems thinking, and a deep understanding of modern digital product ecosystems. You will also play a key role in mentoring designers and elevating design maturity across teams while contributing to broader design thought leadership.

In this role, you will define and drive the visual design vision across multiple digital products, ensuring consistency, usability, and high-quality execution throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into clear, impactful design solutions while continuously improving design systems and practices.

• Lead the end-to-end visual design strategy across products, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
• Define and maintain visual standards, branding systems, UI guidelines, and design consistency across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deliver scalable UI components and design systems.
• Iterate designs based on user research, usability testing, and stakeholder feedback.
• Act as a bridge between design, engineering, and business teams to ensure seamless implementation of design vision.
• Mentor and guide designers, fostering skill development and design excellence across teams.
• Contribute to design community initiatives, thought leadership, and knowledge sharing activities.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in visual design for digital products, with strong experience leading design initiatives in agile, cross-functional environments. You are highly detail-oriented, strategically minded, and passionate about creating meaningful and scalable user experiences.

• 10+ years of experience in visual and product design for digital platforms.
• Strong expertise in typography, layout, color systems, and visual hierarchy.
• Proven ability to lead design strategy and execute high-quality UI for web and mobile products.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside product and engineering stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, usability principles, and interaction design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with user research, prototyping, and iterative design processes.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven mentoring experience and ability to elevate design teams.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong enterprise or SaaS digital product design experience (web and mobile required).
