POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a qualified Concrete Batch Plant Operator to join our innovative operations team! The Concrete Batch Plant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the plant equipment to produce concrete into our mixer trucks to be delivered to customers. In addition, this position adheres to safety and environmental rules while ensuring the timely deliveries of top-quality products and service.
This position is full-time seasonal (weather permitting). Working Monday through Friday and some Saturday’s.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Batch concrete loads according to mix designs and specifications
- Work with dispatch to understand order details required for production of materials
- Conduct batching operations safely and efficiently while complying with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Follow all applicable environmental and air quality regulations
- Maintain efficient working condition of plant equipment including solid knowledge on plant functions and automation
- Perform maintenance to batch plant which includes greasing, sweeping, shoveling, performing equipment repairs, and general housekeeping of the facility and property
- Able to fill other company roles as necessary such as dispatching, operate wheel loader, and aggregate scale ticketing
- Maintain time and material records
- Understand appropriate uses of various mix designs
- Perform standard concrete quality control tests and calculations

Position Requirements:
- Previous work experience is preferred, but willing to train
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be organized and able to multi-task
- Good computer skills
- Problem solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
- Employee management skills
- Safety focused
- Must be able to climb man ladder, lift over 50 pounds, and work in hot/cold environments
- Pass a physical and a drug/alcohol test
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat and sit for periods of time
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instruction
