Job SummaryThe Product Development Coordinator serves as the central hub for the lifecycle of new products and change requests. This role is responsible for driving projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring seamless integration between Sales, R&D, Procurement, QA, and Operations. You will manage formulations, approvals, and pricing while maintaining meticulous product specifications and system updates within BatchMaster (BM).
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Lifecycle CoordinationWorkflow Execution: Initiate and track new product development and change request projects within BatchMaster.
Milestone Management: Drive timely progression through critical development phases, including:
Sample & Formula Development
Pricing & Quotation Approvals
Final Regulatory & Stakeholder Approval
Documentation & Records: Maintain comprehensive records of project revisions, internal technical notes, and client communications.
Pipeline Oversight: Monitor the Product Development Dashboard to identify bottlenecks and facilitate cross-functional reviews to validate formulations.
R&D Partnership: Collaborate with the R&D team to review, refine, and finalize product formulations.
Regulatory Accuracy: Oversee the completion of vital documentation, including Finished Product Specifications (FPS), Supplement/Nutritional/Drug Fact Panels, and Master Product Records (MPR).
Change Control: Manage system updates via formal Change Requests, ensuring all revisions to formulas, packaging Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product details are tracked and approved.
Alignment: Ensure cross-functional teams remain aligned with project deadlines and business priorities.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project delays and communicate status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Industry Experience: Previous experience in contract manufacturing, cosmetics, or dietary supplements is highly advantageous.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of BatchMaster (BM) or similar ERP systems for product tracking and Change Control management.
Project Leadership: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical data for various departments.
Attention to Detail: A rigorous approach to ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with internal SOPs.
Efficiency: Timely completion of defined Product Development stages.
Data Integrity: Maintaining 100% accuracy in project status tracking and system updates.
Collaboration: Reducing approval delays through proactive cross-departmental follow-up.
Readiness: Ensuring all documentation and approvals are finalized prior to customer quotation and production launch.
