The Allison Inn & Spa is Oregon Wine Country's first full service luxury resort in the heart of the Willamette Valley.
JORY is the signature restaurant at The Allison Inn & Spa. Our creative fine dining menus accentuate the native flavors of the Willamette Valley with a strong influence on seasonal, farm-to-table agriculture. Each morning ripe vegetables are picked to be woven into the daily menu plan. Our kitchen is a scratch kitchen that runs in-house programs for Baking, pastry, Charcuterie, Butchery and preservation.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Measure, mix, knead, shape and bake a variety of breads, pastries and desserts following standardized recipes
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all baked goods
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product appearance
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to maintain quality standards
- Produce breads, rolls, quick breads, biscuits and other baked goods to support restaurant and banquet operations
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation
- Follow all state and local food safety regulations and health codes
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- Assist with ordering and proper storage to minimize waste
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to plan and execute daily production schedules
- Communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service
- Adapt to menu changes based on seasonal availability of ingredients
Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a professional kitchen with an emphasis on baking required; artisanal and traditional baking experience a plus
- Strong baking skills, including understanding of proofing, mixing, shaping and baking techniques
- Strong knowledge of baking principles and methods
- Ability to read and execute recipes with minimal guidance in a timely manner
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and baking
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, seasonal menu environment
- A passion for baking and willingness to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card
- Ability to pass a background check
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends and holidays
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including boxes of ingredients and supplies
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending and kneeling
- Frequent use of hands and arms for handling, reaching and preparing products
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels
- Work in environments with heat sources, open flames and sharp tools (e.g., ovens, knives)
