Job Description

Community Organizing Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Community Organizing Manager in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of a high-impact statewide advocacy effort focused on transforming child care policy through grassroots power, community engagement, and strategic mobilization. You will design and lead field organizing strategies that convert public support into meaningful political action across Vermont. The position blends on-the-ground community engagement with digital organizing, storytelling, and data-driven campaign execution. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape how supporters are activated across legislative and electoral cycles. This is a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment where your work directly influences policy outcomes. It is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving campaigns, values autonomy, and is energized by building systems from the ground up.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design and execution of statewide field and community organizing strategies, including digital engagement, voter contact, volunteer mobilization, and GOTV efforts.
  • Build and maintain a diverse and engaged supporter network, ensuring meaningful participation from communities most affected by child care challenges.
  • Plan and execute community events, public forums, and coalition convenings in collaboration with partner organizations.
  • Serve as a representative in community settings, strengthening relationships and expanding long-term organizing infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage systems for tracking engagement, campaign performance, and political impact using CRM and organizing tools.
  • Oversee supporter data segmentation and targeted outreach using platforms such as EveryAction and Mobilize.
  • Collaborate on digital organizing efforts, including advocacy communications, content creation, and storytelling to support campaign narratives.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in grassroots organizing, political campaigns, or advocacy work with direct responsibility for field or community engagement.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships across diverse communities and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate policy issues into compelling narratives and calls to action.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Familiarity with organizing tools such as CRM systems, voter targeting platforms, or advocacy databases.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends during campaign periods.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Vermont.
  • Strong preference for experience in Vermont-based organizing, GOTV efforts, or coalition building.
Benefits
  • Salary range: $69,000 – $80,000 (full-time, 32-hour work week).
  • Fully remote work with regular travel support.
  • Employer-covered health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and families.
  • Flexible paid time off, holidays, and organizational closures.
  • Remote work and travel stipend.
  • Opportunity for part-time arrangements depending on candidate fit.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture with high autonomy and visible impact.
