Job Description
Type: Full-Time; Technical
Reports To: Business Intelligence Practice Lead
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
IntroAteko is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Solution Architect to lead our most critical client integration engagements. We expect this person to transition into leading a small group of 2-3 integration engineers, managing their work while maintaining hands-on architectural responsibilities. This is a strategic, high-visibility consulting role where you will partner directly with client stakeholders, from Enterprise Architects to CTOs, to architect scalable, API-led solutions that resolve critical operational bottlenecks. We expect you to be an AI-first developer who defaults to using AI coding assistants to write boilerplate, debug, and accelerate your daily work.
You will act as the primary technical advisor for our customers and serve as a key stakeholder in our strategic relationship with Salesforce. Your time will be split between advising clients on architecture and building an internal team to help our clients maximize their MuleSoft investment.

Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Client Advisory
Executive Consulting: Translate business process gaps into integration patterns. You will explain why we are recommending an API-led approach to a CFO, and how it works to a technical team.
Center of Excellence: Define integration best practices (governance, error-handling, reuse) and train internal developers to use them. Establish architectural standards for security, performance, and multi-cloud governance. Within the near term, step into a lead role for 2-3 engineers, running their code reviews, handling technical onboarding, and managing their delivery.
Salesforce & Data Cloud Strategy: Collaborate with our Salesforce Architects to design secure, efficient data sharing and ingestion strategies across the Salesforce ecosystem (particularly Salesforce Data Cloud). Consult on API limit avoidance and design data flows that minimize message consumption.
Technical Delivery & Design
API Design First: Lead the design of RAML/OAS specifications in Anypoint Design Center before a single line of code is written. Ensure contracts are solid, reusable, and readable.
Complex Transformation Logic: Take ownership of the most complex DataWeave transformations. When the logic gets too hard for the regular delivery team, you step in to optimize performance and maintainability.
Resilience & Security: Architect for failure. Design holistic error-handling, retry mechanisms, and alert frameworks (CloudHub/Runtime Manager) to ensure zero silent failures. This includes defining and implementing API security policies (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT, Client ID enforcement) and establishing centralized monitoring and logging standards.
Deployment and Scale: Architect solutions that are container-ready, leveraging microservices/SOA design patterns and modern CI/CD processes to support rapid deployment and elastic scaling, potentially using Kubernetes (Anypoint Runtime Fabric RTF).
Data Strategy & Technical Engineering
Complex Data Migrations: You will lead the strategy for building a MuleSoft first approach for complex, high-volume data migrations (ETL) that go beyond standard Data Loader capabilities. Partner with our Salesforce team to define data quality and reconciliation processes that mitigate risk.
Technical Agility & Problem Solving: Serve as the primary escalation point for integration challenges. Apply an engineering mindset and actively use AI assistants to quickly script ad-hoc integrations, troubleshoot data integrity issues, and clear technical blockers.
Mentorship & Growth
Be deeply curious about AI and how it will change how MuleSoft is implemented
AI Workflow Mentorship: Share best practices on how to effectively use AI tools to speed up MuleSoft delivery without compromising security or code quality.
Continuous Learning: Actively explore and pilot new features (MuleSoft Flex Gateway, API Governance, Universal API Management) and share knowledge with the wider Ateko team.
Mentorship & Management: Practical experience guiding junior or mid-level developers, with a clear interest in stepping into a direct management role. You can explain technical concepts clearly to both the developers you lead and the client IT teams you advise.
Experience & Certifications
5+ years of hands-on integration experience, with at least 3 years deeply focused on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Certifications: MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1) is required. MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (Level 1) is highly preferred.
Note: If you have the experience, but not the Architect cert yet, we will reimburse you to get it within your first 90 days.
Experience in a Consulting or Professional Services environment is a major plus.
Technical Proficiency
DataWeave Mastery: You have a deep, practical understanding of DataWeave beyond basic troubleshooting and can handle complex payload mappings (JSON, XML, CSV, Cobol, flat files, database record sets etc.).
Salesforce Ecosystem: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Connectors, Salesforce APIs (Bulk, REST, SOAP, Streaming), and how MuleSoft interacts with Salesforce limits.
AI Tooling Proficiency: You actively use tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or MuleSoft Einstein in your daily development workflow to accelerate coding, generate documentation, and debug.
ETL & Data Handling: Experience with ETL strategies and tools. You understand how to move 5 million records without hitting governor limits.
DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with deploying MuleSoft applications using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Maven.
Soft Skills
The Consultant Mindset: Clarify complex architectures for business level stakeholders using simple visual diagrams and other strategies, while also working directly with their IT teams to resolve delivery blockers.
Curiosity: You are genuinely interested in how systems talk to each other. You read release notes for fun.
Data Cloud: Exposure to or strong interest in Salesforce Data Cloud (Ingestion API).
Java: Ability to write custom Java classes/connectors when out-of-the-box components fall short.
Automation: Experience with MuleSoft Composer or MuleSoft RPA.
The opportunity to be part of a fast-growing professional services organization working with some of the largest and most exciting companies in the world.
A flat, modern, high-integrity work culture with direct and daily access to all levels of the team.
Medical and dental benefits.
An allowance to help set up your own home office.
Flexible remote work options to suit your role and lifestyle.
We empower you to hone your craft with paid time for training, reimbursement for certifications, and the ability to share your passion across our blog and social accounts.
We value giving back to our community. You get 20 hours of your workday over the year to spend doing volunteer work for an organization you chose.
