About the role

Would you like to contribute to creating fresh high-quality food in a fast-paced production environment?

The role report to the Innovation and Development Chef working Mondays to Fridays & some weekends, approximately 6 am to 6 pm (note the finish time may vary).

What you'll do

• Follow the recipe/specification created by chefs
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
  We will provide you training to set you up for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a Cook role or similar
• Team player with good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment
• Dedicated with strong work ethic & ‘can do’ attitude
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure with pace and energy & meet deadlines
• Exceptional personal presentation & hygiene
• Certificate III or IV – Commercial Cookery (desirable)
  ADDITIONAL NOTE: KFCo. operates a 4-week payroll cycle, i.e., 13 payments in a year
