About the Role:
The Clinic Nurse, whether Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. This position involves assessing patient health, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. The nurse will ensure that all clinical procedures comply with established protocols and regulatory standards, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with patients and their families to provide education, support, and guidance regarding health management and treatment options. Ultimately, the Clinic Nurse contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the clinic by promoting patient well-being and facilitating smooth clinical operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of West Virginia.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (practical nursing diploma or associate/bachelor’s degree in nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an outpatient clinic or similar healthcare setting.
- Advanced certifications such as IV therapy, wound care, or chronic disease management.
- Familiarity with patient education techniques and health promotion strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history, and symptom evaluation to inform care decisions.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments accurately and safely according to clinical guidelines.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and clinical observations thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication usage, and preventive care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns promptly to the healthcare team.
- Maintain clinic supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with nursing best practices.

Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm
