Description: SUMMARY

Under the direction and reporting to the Sales Engineering & Sales Support Manager, the AC Sales Support Representative will be responsible for connecting Spacesaver Corporate to its various Area Contractors, which drives revenue growth within an assigned geographical region(s). This position is responsible for collaborating and partnering with our Distributors to create, support, and drive qualified opportunities to implement sales strategies. The AC Sales Support Representative coordinates with other internal resources to provide structure, expertise, and “Why Spacesaver” strategies for our Distributors that exceed customer expectations, meet objectives, and drive sales. They will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at sales coaching/strategy, building relationships, and closing deals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (THE WHAT)

  • Manages the project qualification process
  • Provides strategic development & support for qualified opportunities
  • Collaborates on a winning project strategy with the Area Contractor Sales Rep, leads structure, resources, and assists with operationalizing the project
  • Provides coaching, Value Story “Why Spacesaver / Distributor”, proposal assistance & specification writing
  • Assists with pricing strategy & project economics through collaboration with the Sales Engineering & Sales Support Manager
  • Coordinate and host project kick-off, rhythm, and strategy calls
  • Acts as internal Spacesaver champion, leading interactions with internal resources such as engineering, distributor support, joint projects, pricing, etc.
  • Interface, collaborate, and challenge Sales Application Engineering and/or Planning when required, to achieve goals and maximize the sales opportunity.
  • Proactively researches and evaluates project specifications/timelines/customer initiatives
  • Assists in obtaining, understanding, and sharing competitive information, economic indicators, and industry trends for Spacesaver
  • Obtain approvals and make formal requests for bonding when required.
  • Drives standard operating mechanisms to review project status with all stakeholders
  • Proactively and effectively communicate with customers/distribution partners either by telephone or written communication.
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting of critical Strategic Sales metrics as identified by the Director of Sales Operations & Sales Engineering & Sales Support Manager
  • Maintain proper records (i.e,. Special Price Quotations, correspondences, etc.) in formats and time frames consistent with departmental and interdepartmental requirements.
  • Works to continuously streamline, consolidate, and standardize processes to improve efficiency
  • Ensure correct use of sales technologies, such as a CRM (Salesforce), to update and maintain critical data points.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and utilize regularly Spacesaver’s CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software to support our sales efforts.
  • Be a product & application expert with a creative & curious mindset. Assist in product training as required.
  • Receive and service requests from distribution and sales personnel regarding technical product information, requirements, and pricing for new and existing equipment.
  • Provide system design assistance to salespeople and give product alternatives when requests are made for special non-standard components to maintain Spacesaver’s profit goals. If required, requests for specials will be channeled through Sales Application Engineering for quoting of a custom product. All requests must be consistent with established guidelines and ISO procedures and certification.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key account/partner relationships.
  • Understanding of Spacesaver’s product profitability when setting and adjusting discount rates on AC project requests.
  • Conduct company tours for product and sales schools and customers as required and directed.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Represent the Company at various trade shows when requested
  • Collect, document, and follow up on monthly Incoming Order Forecasts to achieve the monthly Incoming Order plan metrics
  • Conduct Monthly Connection Meetings with external sales executives to review the status of previous projects, future pipeline, share insights & trends, identify areas of improvement, and expedite any “in-process” requests
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field required, plus 2+ years in inside sales or B2B related sales equivalent, or a minimum of four years of sales experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office’s Suite of programs. Ability to work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in using business systems such as ERP and CRM.
  • Must have strong reasoning abilities, understanding of business processes, sound judgment, strong listening skills, resourcefulness, and follow-through skills.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills, as well as have the ability to meet deadlines with appropriate attention to detail in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with small and large groups.
  • Must have a strong customer focus. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships internally and externally to the organization with a focus on meeting or exceeding service and product expectations.
  • Ability to travel as required to support our distribution partners; up to 10%
