In this key role, you will oversee various aspects of federal, state, and local income and franchise tax compliance and reporting. This position requires collaboration with the Finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and adherence to regulations. Your expertise will drive the day-to-day tax operations, providing essential insights and fostering a culture of compliance within the organization. Your contributions will be critical in supporting the broader financial goals and objectives of the company.Accountabilities
- Preparation of annual and quarterly ASC 740 income tax provision using Onesource Tax Provision software.
- Preparation and review of US federal and state consolidated/combined and stand-alone income tax returns.
- Preparation and review of sales and use tax.
- Computation of tax depreciation using FAS.
- Preparation of quarterly tax payment calculation.
- Work cross-functionally to gather information necessary for income tax provision and compliance.
- Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities regarding notices and examinations.
- Assist in SOX testing of tax department controls for income tax accounts.
- Research opportunities, risks, and other ad hoc projects.
- Stay updated on changes in tax statutes and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in tax accounting concepts.
- 5+ years of tax accounting and compliance experience, preferably in Big 4 and/or technology industry.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and cross-functional groups.
- Strong understanding of tax requirements and exposures.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in Onesource Tax Provision.
- Competitive base pay range of $100,000 to $155,000 annually.
