About This Position

We are a growing, customer-focused company with over 400 dedicated employees across North America. We're looking for a Manufacturing Production Manager in Lewisville, Texas.

Under the direction of Custom Solutions Management, the Manufacturing Production Manager is responsible for leading and managing value-added manufacturing operations to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and on-time results. This role oversees order processing, special programs, part picking, invoicing, and other manufacturing support functions while serving as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for operational issues.

The Manufacturing Production Manager drives continuous improvement across quality, cost, delivery, and timing, and maximizes team performance through coaching, training, and development. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, implementing practical solutions to business challenges while establishing standards and scalable processes for manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed with skilled, professionally trained personnel.
  • Hire, develop, coach, and manage Supervisors and Team Leaders through effective communication, performance management, and recognition.
  • Partner with HR and senior management to address and resolve employee relations matters.
  • Enable workforce flexibility by developing cross-trained teams to address production bottlenecks.

Operations & Performance Management

  • Oversee all value-added manufacturing production activities to meet service, quality, cost, and safety targets.
  • Manage and optimize production performance using the CETEC ERP system, track and report monthly operational metrics and trends.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to optimize labor utilization and throughput.
  • Guide supervisors through complex operational challenges to ensure superior service levels and low transactional costs.
  • Conduct customer tours of the manufacturing facilities.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Planning

  • Identify, design, and implement innovative process improvements that enhance quality, labor efficiency, and competitiveness.
  • Apply Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies to manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate equipment needs and submit annual capital and operating budget requests to support efficiency improvements and revenue growth.
  • Identify future value-added manufacturing needs to support forecasted sales volume and service-level expectations.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, quality standards, and ISO requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, safe, and secure facility.
  • Serve on the facility/campus safety committee and contribute to safety policy development.
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safe operating practices and housekeeping standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Business Development and Engineering to support new product introductions, prototype builds, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Work closely with Distribution Center management to maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle count activities.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inbound, inventory, and outbound processes.

Other Duties

  • Review and analyze operational reports and performance measurements.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as business needs require.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, engineering, operations, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse production management.
  • Strong proficiency in business math, reporting, and written and verbal communication in English.

Knowledge

  • Production management principles, organizational design, and performance measurement.
  • Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.

Skills/Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and lead complex manufacturing operations.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Data analysis and reporting proficiency.
  • Experience with electronics integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with electronic assembly processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; Access preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems (CETEC preferred) and Warehouse Management Systems.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Occasional lifting, standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility.

Compensation

  • Annual Total Compensation Range (Base + Bonus): $83,900 - $157,200

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Final base salary and bonus details will be confirmed at the time of offer.
