Salary: $85k annually plus bonus potential

Job purpose
Provide excellence in products, services, cost controls and sales in all areas of the Food & Beverage Operation such as: Kitchen, Dining Room, Café, Banquet Area(s), Patio, lounge, and on the Beverage Cart(s), as applicable. Assist the General Manager in the daily business, management and programmatic functions of the operation of the entire facility in coordination with department managers, while managing a friendly, service oriented, professional and excellent F&B operation.
Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in the responsibility to hire, train, direct and supervise F&B employees as per HR guidelines and service standards as per the Club, F&B Manual and or HG Team Member Handbook.
- Administers personnel and general policies, ensures development and corrective action in accordance with fair labor standards, safety, established policy as defined by Hampton Human Resource Department.
- Maintain Hampton Golfs service goal, 5 HG Guiding Principles and service standards as reflected in the F&B Manual and or HG Team Member Handbook.
- Establish and maintain a F&B Manual while conforming to State Health Department Codes.
- Create a positive, attentive, friendly, professional service environment in all food and beverage areas.
- Establish and maintain beverage procurement guidelines, Liquor Control Board requirements and observe responsible alcohol beverage service to protect from liability.
- Coordination with Executive Chef to establish written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas including the front and back of the house as per F&B Manual and the State Health Department Codes.
- Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined in the F&B Manual.
- Prepare and submit weekly employee schedules and bi-weekly payroll summaries to the General Manager. Adjust actual schedules to ensure efficient use of employees. No overtime, unless infrequently authorized.
- Promote, organize and service F&B activities as per event check list, BEO and or F&B Manual.
- Assist in the preparation and adherence of the F&B Operational Budget.
- Attend and participate in the weekly/monthly department and other periodic employee meetings.
- Plan, organize and manage daily activity as per the Club F&B Manual.
- Ensure and develop emergency and safety procedures as defined in the HG Team Member Handbook and Club Safety Manuals.
- Conduct daily facility walk through to ensure the facility is safe and presentable and that courtesy and efficiency are being exercised throughout. See Safety Manual and or HG POP program for guidelines.
- Formulate annual and seasonal Club Marketing Campaigns and promotions via HG Marketing.
- Complete weekly report submitted to General Manager every Monday by noon.
- Prepare, organize and maintain the club's Calendar of Events by communicating with the Course Superintendent, Head Golf Professional, Events Manager, Community Coordinator and the Hampton Golf Marketing Department as applicable.
- Manage and monitor accurate daily financial collection of charges and funds, along with applicable reports.
- Manage and monitor daily accurate activity and financial requirements, ordering of products, stock levels and monthly inventory as per F&B Manual and or HG Accounting requirements while coding & approving invoices via strongroom digital program.
- Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
- Diplomatically enforce all rules and regulations of the Hampton Golf and the club.
- Attends conferences, workshops /meetings to keep abreast of current info and developments in the industry.
- Meets greets and welcomes members, prospective/patrons in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
- Advises or provides recommendations to the General Manager for capital improvements, supplies and equipment.
- Acquire and maintain Food Handlers Certificate.
- Stay current on all training tidbits for self and Team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Culinary or hospitality degree OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Experience within a High-End, Multi-Unit F&B Operation, preferred.
- Wine experience required; certified Som preferred.
- Good organizational and verbal skills.
- Ability to use logical or rational thinking to resolve issues.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and courteously develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communications.
- Possesses strong leadership, hospitality, and human relations skills.

- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to coordinate details and prioritize the work on a daily and weekly basis.
Working conditions
Work is primarily indoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 60 lbs., up to 20 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 50 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golf’s Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
