About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within various healthcare settings across the United States. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN will monitor patient health, administer medications, and assist with daily living activities, contributing to comprehensive care plans. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to support treatment goals and promote positive health outcomes. Ultimately, the LPN serves as a vital link in the healthcare delivery system, ensuring that patients receive compassionate and competent care at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment (GA).
  • Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing principles, patient care techniques, and medical terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a clinical or long-term care setting.
  • Additional certifications such as IV therapy, wound care, or geriatric nursing.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to speak a second language relevant to the patient population served.
  • Continuing education or specialized training in areas such as pediatrics or chronic disease management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to registered nurses and physicians promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and patient responses.
  • Assist with medical procedures and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Support patients emotionally and psychologically by providing compassionate care and reassurance.
