About This Position

POSITION OVERVIEW

Leads and manage all aspects of high-volume supply chain logistics and freight operations. Responsible for the financial performance, profitability, service delivery, client retention, new business growth, and operational excellence of the branches while maintaining a client-centric focus. Works to achieve both individual and company goals and objectives while maximizing profitability thru efficient customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all Branch Management including Operations, Staff, Financial, Compliance and office Management.
  • Ensuring that policies and procedures set forth by the company are followed
  • Prepare and analyze management and financial reports, budgets, expense reports and forecast for the division.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and review for all staff within the division and create individual training and development that address needs and expectations
  • Responsible for interviewing all new hires, implements disciplinary measure as needed, informs Human Resources (HR) of any escalating incidents
  • Daily operational and financial management of the Branches
  • Build and grow relationships with existing and new business
  • Responsible for the growth and development of client base
  • Responsible for the development and engagement of all staff
  • Manage KPI and Exception reports for Branches
  • Create Business plan for the Branches to achieve continuous growth
  • Collaborate with Sales team on new opportunities, including local vendor procurement as deemed appropriate
  • Onboard and implement new clients within the Branch Operations

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10+ years industry experience, specific to Export/Import shipment processing Air and Ocean
  • 5+ Years staff management
  • Previous Experience as Branch Manager for a Freight Forwarding/Logistics company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • High school diploma or GED required, and some college preferred.
