Sr. Accounting Manager (Remote)
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Accounting Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building and optimizing the accounting function from the ground up. Your expertise will not only maintain the ledger but will shape the systems, processes, and controls necessary for scalability. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will collaborate with a lean team to establish efficient practices that align with our growth ambitions.
Accountabilities- Manage accounts payable, accruals, and payroll processes end-to-end.
- Oversee 1099 preparation and vendor compliance.
- Document processes and drive ongoing optimization across the accounting function.
- Ensure GL integrity through account reconciliations and month-end close support.
- Conduct Opex flux analysis and variance reporting.
- Lead continuous improvement and automation of the month-end close process.
- Conduct technical accounting research and apply findings effectively.
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities.
- Assist with external audit support and financial statement preparation.
- 7+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and high-growth startups.
- CPA certification required.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes: close, GL, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting.
- Knowledge of revenue accounting principles (ASC 606) and loan accounting (ASC 310).
- Experience implementing or migrating an ERP system.
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large datasets.
- Experience managing financial audits or supporting as a key contributor.
