Maintenance Director - Residential Care Facility

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance operations of our residential care facility. This leadership role is vital in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility

- Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations

- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address repairs, safety hazards, and preventative maintenance needs

- Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted services for repairs, landscaping, and other maintenance needs

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and health standards

- Budget and manage maintenance department expenses, including procurement of supplies and equipment

- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues to minimize disruption and ensure resident safety

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare or senior living environment

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities

- Knowledge of building systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety protocols

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety regulations

- Effective communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Relevant certifications or licenses in facilities management or maintenance (preferred)
