Port Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team! The Asset Management Analyst will support the administration and improvement of the Asset Management Program and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) by assisting with system configuration, data management, and workflow execution. This role collaborates across departments to maintain asset records, inspections, and workflow management processes, ensuring CMMS standards, templates, and procedures are consistently applied across the organization while providing support to the Lead Asset Management Analyst.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supports daily administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and CMMS under the guidance of the Lead Asset Management Analyst
- Provides support for the design, configuration, and governance of work order, service request, and inspection templates to promote standardized system usage
- Assists with configuring and maintaining workflows, automation rules, and system settings in accordance with established asset management procedures
- Administers user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access and system security
- Maintains accurate assets, equipment, and location records within the EAM, including updates resulting from asset inventory, field verification, and data collection efforts
- Provides day-to-day user support by troubleshooting system issues and assisting staff with EAM functionality and processes
- Assists in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), configuration documentation, and system governance materials
- Assists with training coordination and preparation of user reference materials to promote consistent enterprise use of the EAM system
- Supports system testing, validation, and implementation of new configurations, enhancements, and upgrades
- Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and data analyses to support asset performance monitoring, maintenance planning, and decision-making.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities for improving data quality, workflows, and business processes
- Coordinates cross-departmentally to ensure system configurations align with operational needs
- Supports auditing activities related to system usage, data governance, and asset management compliance
- Supports the implementation of continuous improvement of the Asset Management Program and related initiatives
- Adheres to PCCA policy, promotes PCCA environmental precepts, a safe work environment, and the SEAPORT values
- Operates PCCA vehicles as needed to support field verification or asset data collection activities
- CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified within the first year of employment
- Tier (2) status designation
The preferred candidate for this position should be an analytical, logical, and detail-oriented professional who is self-motivated and committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of asset and maintenance data in support of the PCCA. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and sound judgement, with the ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy while working collaboratively across multiple departments. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, an organized and disciplined work style, and the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments while supporting ongoing Asset Management Program and CMMS activities. They must also possess the following:
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) during the course of employment
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience supporting data analysis and applied analytical methods to evaluate operational, maintenance, or asset performance issues, preferably within a maritime, logistics, or port operations environment
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools to assist with performance tracking and decision support
- General knowledge of port operations, vessel activities, and cargo-handling processes, or the ability to quickly develop this understanding
- Working knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) data maintenance and analysis using ArcGIS
- Basic understanding of materials, equipment, methods, and techniques used in architecture, engineering, and construction, maintenance, and repair activities
- Strong verbal and written proficiency in the English language
- Working knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and their relevance to asset performance, maintenance operations, and port activities
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical software
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and support data-driven decision making
- Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and present findings clearly and effectively
- Ability to assist with project coordination and support asset management and CMMS-related initiatives
- Ability to prepare reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation for leadership review
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to integrate information from multiple sources to develop creative solutions to complex technical challenges
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply PCCA policies, tariffs, SEAPORT values, and state/federal laws
- Ability to perform essential job functions, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking or hearing, typing, and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and/or moving up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces, climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp/handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee, and reach above/below shoulders
- Ability to work in a general office environment and on a work site with exposure to adverse weather conditions, fumes and /or air particulates, working in high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock and moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and working at heights, ability to wear personnel protective equipment, including hard hat, steel-toed footwear, eye and hearing protection when performing work functions
- Communicating verbally, in writing, and over devices such as phones and mobile phones
- Ability to operate mechanical and electrical equipment, light-weight highway vehicles, and standard office equipment, and to work the requisite hours to fulfill position objectives
