Role: Head of Clinical Transformation

About the role

The Head of Clinical Transformation is responsible for driving excellence in clinical governance and clinical quality across Cera. This role ensures that all care delivery is safe, evidence-based, compliant, and consistently aligned with best practice standards.

With a strong focus on client outcomes, the Head of Clinical Transformation leads the standardisation and unification of clinical documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. By establishing robust frameworks, audit processes, and continuous improvement initiatives, the role strengthens accountability and transparency in care delivery.

Central to this position is a commitment to elevating the quality of nursing practice. The Head of Clinical Transformation partners with nursing teams to support professional development, reinforce documentation standards, and promote high-quality, client-centered care. Through strategic leadership and operational oversight, this role ensures that every client receives consistent, safe, and exceptional clinical support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Clinical Quality and Standards: Develop and monitor clinical quality indicators, conduct audits, and drive quality improvement initiatives to strengthen outcomes for clients.

  • Standardise Clinical Documentation: Lead the unification and standardisation of clinical documentation across all services to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, accuracy, and clear communication.

  • Strengthen Nursing Practice Quality: Provide strategic oversight of nursing practice standards, ensuring care delivered to clients is evidence-based, person-centered, and aligned with Cera expectations.

  • Monitor Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards. Identify, assess, and mitigate clinical risks through structured review and reporting processes.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data, audit findings, and client feedback to implement measurable improvements in clinical processes and service delivery.

  • Support Workforce Capability: Partner with clinical leads to enhance nursing competencies, documentation quality, and professional accountability through education, coaching, and performance oversight.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and frontline clinicians to align clinical transformation initiatives with strategic goals.

  • Reporting and Governance Oversight: Provide regular reports to executive leadership and governance committees on clinical quality, compliance, risk trends, and improvement progress.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (or relevant clinical qualification).

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, or healthcare transformation roles.

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards relevant to healthcare delivery.

  • Experience leading large-scale clinical documentation standardisation or system improvement initiatives.
