Clin Info Educator/Phys Liaison at North Kansas City Hospital – North Kansas City, Missouri

SUMMARY: SUMMARY:The Clinical Informatics Educator and Physician Liasion works closely with clinical informatics, clinical leaders, ambulatory team members and providers to ensure successful user orientation, standardized process/workflow and clinical EMR adoption. Assists in the development, training and support of Cerner EMR and associated applications and business processes to meet the operational and clinical needs of the organization. Serves as a liaison between ITS applications and Informatics, Information Technology Services support, clinical operations, and system users. Ensures effective systems operations by monitoring workflows, providing advanced user support, ongoing application education and assists with communications.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-5 years Position related experience required; 5+ years position related experience preferred; Cerner Millennium Power Chart experience highly desirable.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

OTHER: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills. Healthcare IT and Adult Learning a plus.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Helpful: Healthcare IT Technician Certification, Informatics Certification

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Related Field
