MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company dedicated to Healing the Earth. Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.

MNL’s Marketing team supports the organization’s growth by strengthening brand awareness, supporting sales and recruiting efforts, and expanding market research across our Products and Services sides of the business. The team works closely with leaders across the company to align marketing strategy with business priorities and emerging opportunities.


The Opportunity

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead and execute a companywide marketing strategy that supports growth across MNL’s Products and Services divisions.

This role is responsible for building brand awareness, generating qualified leads, strengthening market visibility, and ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels and markets. The Marketing Manager serves as the central owner of marketing systems and priorities, working closely with leadership, sales teams, and operational groups to align marketing efforts with business growth initiatives.

This position also leads market research and intelligence efforts, helping the organization better understand emerging opportunities, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Over time, the Marketing Manager will help build and lead a centralized marketing function that supports long-term brand strength and geographic expansion.

What You Will Do

Companywide Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that supports all MNL divisions and aligns with company growth priorities.
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and visual standards across digital platforms, print materials, signage, job sites, vehicles, events, and facilities.
  • Serve as the central owner of marketing systems, priorities, and workflows across the organization.

Growth, Lead Generation, & Market Expansion

  • Lead marketing initiatives that generate qualified leads and support sales efforts across products and services.
  • Support geographic expansion by building market awareness and visibility in new and existing regions.
  • Promote cross-selling by increasing awareness of MNL’s full suite of products and services across customer segments.
  • Partner with sales and operational leaders to align campaigns with business priorities and market opportunities.

Market Research & Strategic Insight

  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify emerging markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze market size, competitive landscape, customer needs, and entry considerations for potential expansion.
  • Provide clear, data-informed insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory considerations, and customer behavior relevant to MNL’s markets.

Digital Platforms, Websites, & E-Commerce

  • Oversee development, performance, and ongoing improvement of company websites, including e-commerce platforms.
  • Lead efforts related to website analytics, SEO, user experience, and conversion optimization for both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Ensure digital platforms effectively support lead capture, product education, recruiting, and brand storytelling.

Employer Brand Support

  • Support recruiting and workforce development initiatives through job fairs, career events, and employer branding efforts.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop materials that promote MNL as an employer of choice.

Marketing Systems & Analytics

  • Lead implementation and ongoing improvement of marketing-related systems, including CRM tools used for lead management and campaign tracking.
  • Establish and monitor marketing performance metrics related to awareness, engagement, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Use data and feedback to continuously improve marketing strategies and scale successful initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a centralized marketing team, establishing priorities, goals, and performance expectations.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to support team growth.
  • Manage external vendors, agencies, and contractors as needed.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, including experience leading or coordinating teams.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategies across digital, print, and event-based channels.
  • Experience supporting lead generation, market expansion, or multi-division organizations.
  • Experience conducting market research or competitive analysis and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of websites, e-commerce platforms, digital analytics, SEO, and content performance.
  • Experience implementing or managing CRM or marketing technology platforms.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort operating in a growing organization with evolving structure and priorities.
  • Proficiency with modern marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, digital platforms, and Office 365 tools.
  • A willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time to trade shows, conferences, or customer-related events.

The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 85,000 USD per year(Otsego Headquarters)
