Position Description:

Are you a healthcare attorney who thrives on solving complex regulatory challenges while supporting operational growth and strategic initiatives?


We’re seeking an Operations Counsel to provide legal guidance across healthcare operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting organizational interests, and supporting expansion, contracting, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, this role is a key legal partner to leadership, clinical teams, and operational stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory requirements, including fraud and abuse laws, compliance obligations, and operational matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including physician agreements, vendor contracts, payor agreements, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and IT agreements.
  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure contracts and business relationships align with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Support acquisitions, facility expansions, and development initiatives by providing legal review and guidance.
  • Advise on licensure, compliance, and operational legal matters affecting healthcare delivery.
  • Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop practical, business-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate across departments to develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
  • Provide consistent, clear, and actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Help strengthen internal legal processes, documentation standards, and best practices.
  • Support organizational compliance with applicable laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • What We’re Looking For

    Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (required)
  • Experience

  • Four (4) years of legal experience in a law firm and/or healthcare organization (required)
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements with physicians, providers, vendors, and healthcare partners (preferred)
  • Experience advising healthcare providers on regulatory and operational matters (preferred)
  • Experience in areas such as privacy, employment, litigation, or patient-related legal matters (preferred)
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Active license to practice law (required)
