Executive Producer at WDRB – Louisville, Kentucky

WDRB — the #1 news station in Louisville — is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Producer to help lead our newsroom’s nightly coverage. We’re looking for someone with strong news judgment, creative energy, and the ability to guide a team of veteran journalists to produce engaging, high-quality content across all WDRB platforms.

• Supervise the nightside news team to ensure writing, content, and presentation meet WDRB standards
• Lead daily editorial coordination among producers, reporters, photographers, anchors, the assignment desk, digital, and news managers
• Oversee and improve the quality, tone, and energy of nightly newscasts
• Develop and execute special coverage for major events, sports, and breaking news
• Collaborate with production, design, sports, and weather to elevate our on-air product
• Ensure scripts are accurate, ethical, and compelling
• Step in to produce newscasts as needed
• Partner with the digital and streaming teams to deliver cohesive, cross-platform storytelling

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a broadcast news producer
• Proficiency with iNews, AVID, and AVID Cloud UX
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X)
