Billing Clerk -Patient Accounting at Southwestern Vermont Health Care – Bennington, Vermont

The Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, processing and coordinating claims for the accounts receivable department of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have the ability to learn and operate a variety of software programs. Professional telephone skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi tasking medical billing environment is required. Also must have the ability to effectively and independently resolve patient issues in a courteous, professional, thorough and timely manner researching and resubmitting claims as necessary. Prior medical billing experience is preferred.
