The Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital Nurse Residency Program is designed to support exceptional new nurses as they transition successfully into professional nursing practice. Nurse Residents accepted into the program will begin their careers in a cohort-based model and participate in a structured 12-month program focused on clinical education, professional development, and mentorship.

Within the cohort, Nurse Residents receive expert guidance from a dynamic team of knowledgeable and experienced Clinical Nurse Educators and Professional Development Leaders, as well as peer support from fellow Nurse Residents. Through didactic education, hands-on learning, and professional development activities, participants strengthen critical thinking skills and progress from novice to competent nursing practice.

This immersive experience challenges Nurse Residents to become the best version of themselves while building the skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care. The program’s goal is to develop well-rounded, professionally prepared nurses who can think critically, manage time effectively, and delegate appropriately in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The residency concludes with a graduation ceremony celebrating the growth, achievements, and professional development of Nurse Residents over the 12-month program
