GENERAL LABOURER

JOB POSTING

You will report directly to the Foreman and Plant Manager in this full-time role based at our manufacturing facility.

This position combines hands-on shop floor work, carpentry support, robotics operation, and general factory labour. You will operate a variety of equipment, use construction software applications, support wood framing construction, and contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality, energy-efficient building components.

• Operate and care for construction equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
• Support daily shop floor production, including wood framing, material handling, and component assembly.
• Assist with robotics operation and other manufacturing equipment as trained.
• Help ensure factory machinery and work areas are maintained in safe and good working order.
• Assess the quality of materials and completed work to support production standards.
• Develop woodworking and construction skills while learning Paradigm's systems and processes.
• Work as part of a team manufacturing wood wall panels and components.
• Learn and apply building techniques used in high-quality, energy-efficient homes.
• Support occasional out-of-town travel to construction sites when required.

• Wood framing construction knowledge and experience is an asset.
• Forklift ticket is an asset.
• Ability to read construction drawings is an asset.
• Experience using construction software applications is an asset.
• Ability to physically perform construction-related tasks.

• Work and travel may occur in varying weather conditions.
• Deliveries or occasional site work may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and other construction-related hazards.
