  • Mentor, train, and provide substantive guidance to legal support staff to strengthen skills and performance.
  • Manage procedural aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, arbitration, and appellate procedures.
  • Support trial and hearing preparation by organizing exhibits, managing transcripts, and overseeing pretrial filings.
  • Draft, review, file, and organize legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, appeals, and motions.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using tools like Westlaw to support attorneys and litigation teams.
  • Perform cite-checking, Bluebook compliance, and quality control of legal documents to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain case files and organizational systems for calendars, filings, and litigation materials across electronic and hard-copy formats.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, courts, clients, experts, and vendors to facilitate efficient litigation processes.
Requirements:
  • JD or LL.B. required; LL.M. acceptable with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting litigation matters in a law firm or comparable environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state litigation procedures, including trial and appellate practice, discovery, and arbitration.
  • Advanced proficiency in legal research, drafting, and Bluebook citation standards.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising legal support staff preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software such as CM/ECF, PACER, and Westlaw.
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required; active status preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly compensation ($55–$70/hour) with a year-end discretionary bonus.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off and flexible scheduling options.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
