This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and grow a high-impact recurring giving program in a mission-driven, global environment. Working across multiple channels—including email, SMS, direct mail, and on-platform messaging—you will design tailored donor journeys that maximize lifetime value and deepen engagement. The position combines strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and creative experimentation in a collaborative team setting. As the Lead Recurring Giving Specialist, your primary responsibilities include:
- Own and expand the recurring giving program, driving growth in monthly and annual donors, increasing retention, reducing attrition, and maximizing long-term donor value.
- Develop upgrade, cross-sell, and reactivation strategies informed by donor behavior, giving history, and lifetime value analytics.
- Design and optimize donor journeys across onboarding, retention, and win-back initiatives, ensuring seamless and personalized experiences.
- Manage campaign execution end-to-end, including segmentation, audience targeting, and multi-channel communications.
- Oversee self-service donation tools and continuously refine processes for dunning, payment recovery, and lapse prevention.
- Monitor KPIs, produce reports, and leverage data to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and support revenue forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align initiatives with broader fundraising goals and enhance overall donor engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of fundraising expertise, analytical skills, and project management experience:
- Proven experience managing and analyzing recurring giving or sustainer programs.
- Strong knowledge of donor retention strategies, upgrade techniques, and methods to increase lifetime value.
- Experience designing and managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including email, direct mail, SMS, and on-platform messaging.
- Proficiency in audience segmentation, data analysis, and managing complex donor journeys across multiple segments.
- Comfortable working with donor KPIs and using insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across teams.
