This leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic use of data to inform key business decisions and accelerate growth in a fast-moving software environment. The Sr. Director will oversee a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, delivering insights that directly impact product development, operations, and overall business strategy. This position requires balancing high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution, fostering a data-driven culture, and collaborating across multiple teams and external partners. - Lead a growing team of data professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development while promoting a collaborative and innovative culture
- Drive analytics strategy across software products, supporting product development, operations, and strategic business initiatives
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify opportunities, solve complex business problems, and deliver actionable insights
- Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery
- Implement best practices for data management, governance, and cloud-based analytics platforms, fostering a robust data ecosystem
- Use advanced analytics and modeling to guide decision-making and optimize business outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science) with 10+ years of data analytics experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience
- 6+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing data teams
- Extensive experience with cloud-native data technologies (AWS, Spark), big data processing, and data governance practices
- Proficiency in Python and other analytics tools; experience with streaming data technologies is a plus (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills with a track record of delivering business impact
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in strategy execution, process management, and leading complex programs in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
