- Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive email marketing campaigns supporting fundraising, engagement, and retention goals
- Design and optimize automated lifecycle journeys, including welcome, nurture, reactivation, and recurring engagement flows
- Manage and maintain a centralized email marketing calendar to align cross-functional initiatives and campaigns
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and maintain a high-quality subscriber base through acquisition and retention efforts
- Apply segmentation and personalization techniques to deliver targeted, relevant messaging
- Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to optimize subject lines, content, timing, and calls-to-action for improved performance
- Analyze campaign metrics and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies to increase engagement and revenue
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency across messaging and enhance overall user journeys
- Ensure all communications meet high standards for quality, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 3 to 5+ years of hands-on email marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment
- Proven success managing complex email campaigns and automated workflows that drive measurable results
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, deliverability, and list management best practices
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and implement improvements
- Experience with CRM and email marketing platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketing Cloud, or similar tools
- Demonstrated ability to optimize conversion rates and sustain audience growth
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
