The expected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00- $120,000.00, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
The day-to-day:
- Responsible for the supervision, training, and development of the Corporate Team and Accounts Payable Team
- Works closely with Payroll, Treasury, IT, Finance, and Executive Team in coordination of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and chart of accounts auditing
- Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with company accounting policies and procedures
- Analytically reviews the balance sheet and income statement monthly to ensure accuracy
- Reviews and books journal entries and ensures quality of journal entry backup
- Responsible for analyzing corporate financial statements and providing detailed variance explanations as well as
- overall summary
- Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required from an accredited four-year college or university
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 4 years of experience with practical experience in Real Estate accounting and/or Property Management
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Experience with Yardi is preferred
- Experience in cash management, forecasting and planning required
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate complex accounting and financial data into easily understandable verbiage
