BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To help keep up with donations and holiday needs such as visits and internal needs that arise.
REPORTS TO
- Volunteer Services Director
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Minimum Education: High School
Degree: N/A
License/Certification Required: No
Minimum Work Experience: 1 year retail or similar
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Excellent customer service skills/ dealing with visitors and donors

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accept donations as donors pull into the circle in front of Koppel Plaza
- Accept donations brought into Volunteer Services office
- Sort and organize donations
- Distribute items as needed to hospital departments
- Collaborate with hospital staff and volunteers to keep a smooth flow of activity
- Office skills – assist with answering calls, some correspondence
- Assist with hospital visits during the holidays
- Assist with Tiny Trees Program
- Cover gaps in vital areas (ex. Information desk, surgery lounge) when volunteers are absent due to holiday committments

- Some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting squatting, reaching, and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
