About This Position
The Department of Plastic Surgery is hiring a part-time Visiting Scholar to work as part of a larger team on a Department of Defense funded clinical trial, which is centered on assessing composite adipose skin transplantation. This position is a short-term position in which the ideal Candidate will develop advanced skills in clinical research methodology. Main objectives of this position are to learn how to organize and manage de-identified datasets, perform descriptive and comparative analyses, and contribute to the synthesis and dissemination of research findings through manuscript preparation and presentation. This experience will strengthen the Candidate's overall competency in clinical investigation and quantitative reasoning. Additionally, participation in this clinical trials research along with manuscript development will help foster skills in data interpretation, scientific communication and collaborative investigation. This study assesses the success of adipose skin transplantation, and the ideal Candidate will be working within a larger team to extract data from the study and complete a comprehensive systematic summary of the study. The minimum education requirement for this position is a DO.
