About This Position
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Home Health Branch Director (Director of Patient Care Services & Administrator) is responsible for the overall direction of home health clinical and administrative services and programs. As the home health clinical leader and administrator, this role establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for home health services that meet and promote the standards of quality of patient care and Acacia's core values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations to ensure high‑quality, compliant patient care and efficient service delivery.
- Lead and support clinical teams, providing guidance, performance management, and ongoing staff development.
- Manage budgeting, staffing, and operational performance, including financial oversight and productivity monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, accreditation, and documentation standards.
- Direct patient‑care coordination including admissions, discharges, care planning, and continuity of services.
- Oversee quality improvement, policy implementation, staff education, and maintenance of accurate clinical records.
- Represent the Acacia Home Health in the community, while maintaining open communication and a positive team culture.
- Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid California RN license & CA Driver License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing. Master’s degree in health care preferred.
- Experience working with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) EMR strongly preferred.
- Must have prior experience as Home Health Clinical Manager or DPCS of 300 plus patient census.
- Three years of management experience within the last five years in a home health agency, at least one year of which was a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- Four years of RN experience within the last five years in a home health agency, at least one year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
- Demonstrated strong ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
- Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making and Quality Management review and evaluation.
- Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and Joint Commission standards.
COMPENSATION: $130,000.00 to $180,000.00
