Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Provide supervision and guidance for approximately 13 employees, to include, but not limited to, Fuel Truck Drivers, Fuel Distribution Systems Operators, MHE operators and Tool Room staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compile data for fuel on hand, issued and received.

Receive, transport, store, and issue bulk fuel in support of ground and aviation military units utilizing DODAAC provided by DPTMS. The Contractor shall operate North Fort Cavazos Fuel Issue Point(s).

Contractor shall provide sufficient resources to handle a workload of 50,000 gallons per week.

Hours of operation are identified at TEG, Nonstandard Hours of Operation.

Issue fuel to Active Army, National Guard, and Army Reserve units that have provided Assumption of Command Orders and DA Form 1687 (Signature card) for fuel support IAW AR 710-2.

Fue l Handling Certificates and Hazardous Cargo Certification, at all times during fueling operations.

Fuel handlers shall be licensed to operate the fuel point equipment and will have HAZMAT Training JAW AR 600-55, The Army Driver and Operator Standardization Program, stamped on t heir military license.

Fuel handler must be able to accurately complete Army documents required for fuel accountability.

Fuel handlers must have training IAW Ill CORPS & FH REG 350-7, Ill Corps and Fort Cavazos Troop Schools.

Certified in the use of Aqua-glo Water Detector Kit and conduct administrative fuel tests Millipore / Mini Monitor Kit for fuel contamination testing as necessary.

Shall be licensed driver/operators for 7,500-gallon fuel tankers and below, and 2,500-gallon HEMMT tankers.

Provide remote refilling capability to generator(s) and equipment at sites located within the NFC Cantonment area as necessary utilizing government furnished equipment

Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

o Hours of work 7:30AM -4:30PM (M-F)

Requirements:

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review/approve timesheets

Approve Leave Request

Oversee daily department workflow and scheduling.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

Must have a minimum of 3-5 yea rs of experience working with bulk fuel.

Able to acquire Class A license with HAZMAT endorsements for transporting bulk fuel.

K nowledge of Federal and State Environmental Protection Agency reg ulat ions.

Preferred :

Associate degree preferred

Prior work with military/government preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors and outdoors. May involve exposure to inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.

All employees are required to undergo an initial background investigation as a condition of employment. Additionally, employees may be subject to subsequent background investigations if circumstances warrant, such as the emergence of a need, an issue, or probable cause.

Employees assigned to work on federal installations or projects must also comply with government-mandated background investigations, which are conducted independently of the company's investigations. Employment and continued assignment to federal installations are contingent upon successfully meeting and maintaining these requirements.
