About This Position
Department: Saw OperationsLoad and unload material into saws. Perform the following computer functions in Plex: load job, complete job, choose proper container and maintain proper Statistical Process Controls (SPCs) as required by each specific job. Set up saws for specific jobs. Set up CNC controls. Stage bins for each saw. Empty chip bins. Monitor orders as they are processed by the saw. Perform quality checks with measuring tools and enter in Plex. Operate fork truck. Assist with cleaning, organizing and general upkeep of the saw shop. Perform other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED General computer experience required Fork truck and overhead crane experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong general computer skills required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to read and follow written instructions Ability to perform basic math functions and accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures
Reports To: Saw Operations Manager
Classification: Non-exempt (Hourly)
Pay: $15/hour
8pm - 6:30pm (M-TH)
Job Summary:
Execute duties given by saw operations manager. Properly carry out saw operations as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to stand for an entire shift to operate machinery
- Ability to safely maneuver around each machine, and from one machine to another, to monitor and adjust the steel as it processes through each machine
- Physical activity such as bending, reaching, and twisting while pushing and pulling bars or pieces of steel as they are processed
- Ability to safely ascend and descend steps, stairs, or ladders to access and operate machinery and fork trucks
- Ability to work atop of uneven surfaces to move and secure bundles of steel
- Ability to frequently lift 15-50 pounds of steel bars repeatedly and occasionally lift up-to 80 pounds of steel bars repeatedly.
- Constant exposure to machinery and loud noises

All employees at this facility have responsibility and authority to note areas of product or customer issues and bring it to management’s attention.
This is a 3rd shift position 8pm - 6:30am (Monday - Thursday)
